Camping in Joshua Tree National Park
More than 500 campsites are available in the park. Some require reservations, some are first-come, first-served. There are 3 group sites for 10-60 people. Reservations can be made in advance. Campgrounds usually fill on weekends October through May. From mid-February to mid-May (and during holidays) campgrounds usually fill throughout the week. To improve your chances of getting a campsite and avoid disappointment, visit during the off-season (June through September), reserve a site, and/or have alternate overnight plans ready. Learn more about camping opportunities within the park by visiting www.nps/gov.jotr or head on over directly to www.recreation.gov to check availability and book online.
