Event Grant Review Committee

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Event Grant Review Committee! Your participation plays an important role in the success of our Sponsorship and Event Grant Program.

The initial review of event grant applications will be conducted by a five-member committee of community volunteers, including up to two TBID Advisory Board members. Volunteers are selected for their impartiality and use a transparent scoring system to evaluate applications, ensuring each is reviewed fairly and in alignment with the TBID’s goals. The TBID Advisory Board will select community volunteers from the applications received, creating a committee that reflects diverse perspectives while upholding fairness and transparency.

Eligibility & Conflict of Interest
To maintain the integrity of the process, the following guidelines apply:

  • Volunteers may not apply for an event grant during their term of service.
  • Volunteers may not serve if a close relative (spouse, parent, child) or employer/employee is applying for a grant in the same year.

These rules protect against conflicts of interest and ensure the review process supports the TBID’s mission to strengthen Twentynine Palms’ cultural and economic vitality through community events.

For the 2025-26 committee, we are inviting interested individuals to apply by October 8, 2025.
