To this day, it continues its original purpose of preserving and interpreting the historical heritage of the Twentynine Palms area through a variety of educational activities including field trips, lectures, and a quarterly newsletter. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Twentynine Palms Historical Society counts on donations, contributions, and more to help with the operations of the Old Schoolhouse Museum.
