Desert Dreams – Copper Mountain College Student Exhibition

The spring Art in Public Places exhibition at the 29 Palms Visitor Center and Gallery will feature “Desert Dreams,” a special exhibition of artwork by the art students at Copper Mountain College.

Desert Dreams is a collection of original prints, drawings, and paintings that explore the surreal beauty of the Mojave Desert. This exhibition features works from current art students at Copper Mountain College and showcases a variety of techniques from dry-point prints to full color pastel pieces.

Organized by artist and art instructor Chloe Allred, the exhibition will be on view at the visitor center through June 25. Participating artists are: Alex Arterberry, Becky Boyer-Whitehurst, Danielle Caesar, V. Charnley, Jake Christian, Mary Dennis, Haruyo Martelli, Alison Venanzi, Emmary Warner, Leanne Warren, and Steven Wybenga.

Opening Reception:
Saturday, April 22
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

An opening reception will be held for the artists on Saturday, April 22, from 11 am to 1 pm at the 29 Palms Visitor Center & Gallery. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend and meet the artists.

Art in Public Places exhibitions are presented quarterly by the Public Arts Advisory Committee (PAAC) of the City of Twentynine Palms.
