The 29 Palms Art Gallery is hosted by the 29 Palms Artists' Guild, officially incorporated as an all volunteer, non-profit organization to "create a spirit of cooperation and fellowship between the artist and the public." 29 Palms Old Schoolhouse Museum


The Twentynine Palms Historical Society was founded by nine individuals on April 26, 1982 and incorporated on August 23, 1982 as a non-profit public benefit corporation. Today, it continues its original purpose of preserving and interpreting the historical heritage of the Twentynine Palms area through a variety of educational activities including field trips, lectures, and a quarterly newsletter.

29 Palms Sandshufflers

The 29 Palms Sandshufflers meet every Wednesday night at the Elks Lodge at 7pm.  Grab a partner and squaredance the desert night away!

Bingo

The Twentynine Palms Senior Center(6539 Adobe Rd) hosts Bingo every Thursday afternoon starting at 1:30pm. Proceeds benefit the Twentynine Palms Youth Club & Reach Out Morongo Basin.

29 Palms Soaring Club

The 29 Palms Soaring Club flies nearly every weekend.  Usually on Sundays but some times Saturday and sometimes both days. The Soaring Club operates out of 29 Palms Airport.  Come out and see our maginficent desert from high in the air!  Contact the 29 Palms Airport at (760) 361-8548.

Desert Winds Golf Course

 

The 18-hole "Desert Winds" course at the Desert Winds Golf Course facility in Twentynine Palms, California features 6,930 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.9 and it has a slope rating of 122.  Designed by Jeffrey Young, the Desert Winds golf course opened in 1966. Todd Wade manages the course as the General Manager.

Roadrunner Dunes Golf Course

 

Roadrunner Dunes is open year round and fully over seeded in the winter.  It is a 9-hole course (par 72) with the finest greens in the desert. The property includes a pro shop, chipping area, putting green, & driving range.

The pool opens on May 26, 2007! The hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pool will be open only on weekends until the second week of June when school lets out. Then the pool will be open daily during the summer from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

 

 

Summer Swim Fees 2007:

Adults (18 +) $2.50

Child (2-17)  $2.00

Senior (55+) $1.00

Senior/Adult Social Lap Swim Begins June 19th

(Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.)

 

Swim Passes 2007:

Family (2 adult 2 child) $350.00

Adult (18 or over) $125.00

Child (2-17) $100.00

Senior/Adult Social Lap Swim Season Pass $25.00

 

Please be aware that only swimsuits are allowed in the pool. Children that are in diapers must wear appropriate waterproof coverings!

Stone Carving

Come out and carve stone with Don Carlos!  This is an interesting, fun way to explore your creative side and to see the artistic underground that exists here in the desert. 

 

ADULTS: $25 for the First Hour, then $10 an Hour thereafter, plus the cost of the stone

KIDS: $20 for the First Hour, then $5 an Hour thereafter,   plus the cost of the stone.

Theatre 29

Theatre 29 was formed in January of 2000 to bring quality family theater to the City of Twentynine Palms and the outlying community. Theatre 29 is also dedicated to promoting the participation of young people, and people of all ages in the theater experience.

Youth Club

The Twentynine Palms Youth Club is located at 5882 Luckie Avenue in Luckie Park. The club offers an after school and summer program for youth ranging from ages 7 to 17.
