Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness

The Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness Area (URL), 38,000 acres, is bounded by the 4000 ft Bullion Mountains in the east to the 1500 ft. alluvial desert to the west. It has a wide variety of wildlife and desert plants. The dry lake beds are located less than an hours drive Northeast of Twentynine Palms on Amboy Road or Highway 62.
